In 2013 we will be charging a volunteer levy of $50.00 per player. If the player/family contributes around the club they will be asked to note their services in the Volunteer Register and at the end of the season the $50.00 will be refunded. To be eligible to receive the $50.00 refunded families will need to attend at least one of the three working bees scheduled during the season and undertake five hours of rostered duties (e.g. line marking, field set up, canteen duty etc.) To acknowledge the hard work of all of our volunteer Team Coaches and Team Managers they will be exempt from paying the Volunteer Levy. Some families find it hard to contribute their time and if they are unable or choose not to contribute their time then the $50.00 will be retained by the club.
After discussions with other similar clubs in the area they have found that this system works quite well for both the club and some families who are just unable to offer their time. We are hoping this will also share the load among all the members of the club rather than all the duties being undertaken by the same volunteers all of the time.
